IF You Want to Age More Slowly, control your intake of these foods!

As we age, it is of great importance that we pay proper attention to the foods we consume daily. If you can’t completely give up these foods, at least keep your intake to a minimum.

  1. Refined carbohydrates

Foods that contain refined carbohydrates (sweets, white flour pastries, doughnuts, pancakes) increase blood sugar levels. They are also linked to heart disease, obesity and diabetes.

  1. Processed meat

Any processed meat such as sausages, ham, or hot dogs, contains undesirable ingredients that accelerate aging. Substances used in meat processing can trigger inflammatory processes, such as arthritis.

  1. Fruit juices

Industrial juices are full of sugar, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives. If you have diabetes or insulin resistance or are overweight, avoid these drinks.

  1. Energy drinks

Energy drinks contain a lot of caffeine and high levels of sodium among other components that are harmful to health. If you consume them often, harmful ingredients will accumulate in the body which will accelerate aging and harm your health.

  1. Fatty food

Although chicken consumption is encouraged, people over 40 are advised to remove the skin before eating, especially when the chicken is fried. This would reduce the cholesterol that leads to clogging of the arteries and subsequently reduce the occurrence of heart diseases.
